Who we are
iWIM
iWIM is a company that has developed, certified and approved the first Weigh In Motion system in Italy.
Founded in 2011 as a start-up, it started the research and development process and in 2014 it installed the first experimental prototype at a runway of the A22 “del Brennero” motorway exit in Trento (Italy). It has internationally patented the iWIM50_10 system which is able to weigh moving vehicles without the need to stop them.
The product obtains the important international OIML R134 certification through the Dutch NMi laboratory and subsequently formal recognition as a measuring instrument usable for legal purposes by the Ministry of the Economy and becomes the first WIM system approved in Italy today marketed under the BISON brand.
Vision and Mission
Road safety comes first.
Roads, viaducts and bridges must always be in good condition and must also be safeguarded by monitoring the passage of heavy vehicles. This reduces maintenance costs and improves road safety.
