BISON High-Speed WIM Model 90_10

BISON Weigh in Motion model 90_10

The BISON High-Speed WIM (Weigh in Motion) Model 90_10 is a cutting-edge weigh-in-motion system designed for continuous monitoring of traffic on highways and roads.
It accurately weighs vehicles traveling at speeds exceeding 150 km/h, making it ideal for pre-selection of overloaded trucks and ensuring road safety.
This model is specifically engineered for permanent installations and features larger sensor sizes to accommodate modern lane widths.

90_10 SYSTEM FEATURES

FIBER OPTIC TECNOLOGY

BISON Model 90_10 dynamic weighing system is based on the innovative technology represented by optical fiber sensors which makes it insensitive to temperature variations and electromagnetic disturbances.

COMPLETE SOLUTION

BISON IWIM 90_10 involves the installation of only 2 plates per lane inside the road surface, excluding the need to install other sensors such as temperature sensors or inductive loops.

SOLID AND RESISTANT

The solid structure of the weighing plates of the IWIM 90_10 system, entirely made of AISI316L austenitic steel alloy, make it absolutely resistant and suitable even for the most aggressive environments, such as those characterized by a high presence of chlorides due to the use of defrosting salts.

ROAD WORKS COMPATIBLE

BISON IWIM 90_10 is compatible with the use and transit of snow plows. Moreover it could be used after road rinnovation and asfalt surface remaking.

CROSS LANE COUNTING

BISON 90_10 system is installed on the road with 2 lanes without traffic divider, it detect transits between the two lanes in both directions of travel.

CERTIFICATION

The cross lane system also boasts the OIML R134 certification and was implemented by the Ministerial Homologation Decree N 161 of 25 May 2021 thus providing legal validity to all effects also for this type of transit.

BIDIRECTIONAL

The bi-directionality in the detection of the weight of the vehicles in transit permits to use the system even in case of alternating one-way streets or carriageway exchanges.

BISON for Accurate Traffic Weighing on Road Networks

Accurate Measurement for Infrastructure Optimization

The BISON weigh-in-motion (WIM) system provides an opportunity to obtain precise real-time mass measurements of vehicles transiting on road network. While various measurement and speed systems have been available for years, there has been a lack of accurate and continuous information regarding the mass of vehicles on the road. BISON offers real-time data of each transit, giving a vast amount of valuable information.

Insights from Comprehensive Data Analysis

Interpreting and understanding the extensive data collected by the BISON system can be challenging due to its sheer volume. However, our advanced statistical processing service can assist in extracting meaningful insights from this wealth of information. The reports are generated presenting the distribution of load on the axles, vehicle types, transit speeds, double wheels, overloads, and more. By harnessing these valuable statistics, you can gain a deeper understanding of your road network and make informed decisions for infrastructure optimization.By harnessing these valuable statistics, you can gain a deeper understanding of your road network and make informed decisions for infrastructure optimization.
